So we begin the year with the 7 wands from the Thoth deck – this is a powerful card of having the courage, energy and will to stand up for ourselves and for others – we no longer fear the limelight even if we are conscious that taking a stand will cause some conflict in some way.

This month it is time to embrace this and have the courage to stand for what we truly believe and not allow ourselves to simply allow someone else to dominate in these situations. Any conflict fought is done so with integrity and respect. It is not a battle for the sake of fighting nor one of simply one will against another – it is more being on a mission for the truth to be heard without damaging our position through underhand, or immoral means. There is a sense of relying on our background knowledge experience and training in order to then forge our own pathways forwad – stepping off the established ways of doing things and developing our own methods and procedures to improve results.

So approach all your projects and situations this month with the idea of trusting in yourself, your previous experience and your own integrity and you can go a long way. A month to release any fears of your own light being seen and to release the need to do things the way they have always been done – trust your own instincts for where the path needed to deviate from expected directions. Though you may experience the sense of threat in events around you, you are also supported by high spiritual values and energy and you can use this to make the world a better place for all.

It is not a time to disrespect others however – know that the conflicts you choose to be part of have value – you and your opponent learn something important from the exchanges and new creative ways forward are possible that may be of greater benefit to everyone, more so than if the conflict had been avoided altogether. See the positives in the exchanges you have and take the gold from all difficulty. Great inspiration can come from this time. Have the courage of your convicitions and you will see positive results.
